October Launches
This month we launched three new client sites:
- Kitchen Mart wanted a new user-friendly interactive site that would be easy to continue to expand to become an authority site on remodeling.
- Clear Vision Coaching is an existing client who wanted a website redesign to infuse new energy into her business after almost four years.
- Sacramento Occupational Medical Group wanted to upgrade from an existing generic template site to a site more in tune with their branding. They also chose a Wordpress backend for easy maintenance for regular news updates.

Google 411
Another cool service from Google. Free 411 services from any phone!
Just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (that’s 1-800-4664-411) to find business numbers and addresses or even get a list businesses in a particular category. Extra bonus features- get connected for free or have Google text message the contact information to your cell phone for later use!
I think this is a pretty handy service particularly since alot of phone companies like to charge a buck or more to get this information.
Of course, it is automated, so if you are looking for a business with an unconventional name-ohh, say “YNot Web”- it can’t figure out how to find it since it is using algorithms based on phonetics. Oh, and you need to pay attention to the returned listings because sometimes it does say them in a funny way. “YNot Web” (why-not-web) comes out “e-nut-web”.

ICANN Notices
You may have recently received email with the subject line “Important ICANN Notice Regarding Your Domain Name(s)”. This is a standard annual check by all accredited registrars to make sure their domain registrants review their domain name contact information and make any changes necessary to ensure accuracy. If you receive this email from your domain registrar (including YNot Web), just follow the instructions defined in the email, which will generally include a link for you to review your current contact settings. Under ICANN rules and the terms of most domain registration agreements, providing false contact information can be grounds for revoking your domain name registration. To review the ICANN policy, visit: http://www.icann.org/registrars/wdrp.htm
YNot Web once again showed its support of the Fair Oaks Dog Walk by becoming one of the sponsors of the event. The event was held Saturday October 6 and was attended by many local families and dog owners. The event is organized by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce of which YNot Web is a member business. Check out all the great sponsors and photos of the event at http://www.fairoaksdogwalk.com.
